Nováková, Jana Evelína ; Žáčková, Hana (advisor) ; Nová, Monika (referee)
1 Summary Assisted contact with children The aim of my thesis is to describe the new phenomenon of social work i.e an assisted contact with children. In the theoretical part I focused on areas that are connected with parent-child assisted contact, and that parents solve the most often. I gave a definition of parental responsibility and interests of the child, which are described in legislation or conventions. In relation to this, I focused on divorce, and what defense mechanisms can a child have on the disintegration of the family, and how it is able to come to terms with this new reality. Also, what may happen if the child is refused to see the other parent after the divorce. I described parental alienation syndrome, which is related to this topic. Furthermore, I described the possibilities of solving problematic parent-child contact (parents agreement, court rulings and family mediation). I also defined assisted contact. Under what circumstances it occurs, what are its types, functions and its development. Following are examples of organizations dealing with assisted contact. Possible examples of solutions of problematic relationship between the parents that were implemented successfully abroad. In the practical part, I conducted a survey using an anonymous questionnaire. I mapped the opinion of experts,...

Divorce proceeding for children in the context of gender arrangements in families
KŘÍŽKOVÁ, Zlatuše
In the theoretical part of this work I will explain the basic concepts: the role of women and men in the family, their functions in the formation of gender identity of the children, the effects of divorce disputes in terms of economic, social and mental impact of gender on the children in post-divorce custody. In the empirical part of work I will do research using qualitative methodology. I will also use a semi-standardized interview for data collection and observation as an additional method. I will work with a target group of divorced parents who experienced disputes where the custody of the child was awarded to one of the parents. I will conduct interviews with respondents who live in a small town of up to 50,000 inhabitants. I will be choosing interviewees bearing in mind that the questions will be of a personal and sensitive nature. The first respondents will be selected with and an aim in mind. Then I will proceed using a "snowball technique" in the respondents´ natural environment. All interviews will be carried out in the strictest confidentiality. The result of the qualitative survey of this work will be an in-depth description of the investigated topic "The consequences of divorce disputes for children in the context of gender arrangements in families ," or the hypothesis. In addition, conclusions will be reached on how with hindsight parents should have resolved conflicts to maintain a functional relationship between the child and the other parent.
Parental Alienation Syndrome and its Solution in the Czech republic.
BENEDIKTOVÁ, Miloslava
Parental Alienation Syndrome and its Solution in the Czech Republic Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) is the psychic disorder that is present in children resulting from indoctrination coming from one parent towards a child when the child develops own scenario of belittling and rejecting the other parent without reasons and justification. The Bachelor Work focuses on Parental Alienation Syndrome and its solution in the Czech Republic. It consists of the two major parts. The theoretical part briefly describes terms related to the problems of PAS and provides some options of its solution. In the second empirical part, I have focused on gaining the information of the current situation of dealing with the issue by workers at Social Departments in the communities with extended sphere of authority in the South Bohemia Region. It was the first goal. The second goal was to locate all the institutions, currently dealing with the solution of PAS in the South Bohemia Region. I decided to use one sample group and to achieve the goals, I chose the quantitative research. Further, I applied requesting method with using the questionnaire. I also set two hypotheses in correlation with the goals of the research. I set the hypotheses using the knowledge gained through my working experience of a worker in children{\crq}s social and legal protection area. The results of the research show that social workers of Municipal Authorities are familiar with PAS theoretically and they select forms of its solution according to their own knowledge. The range of forms for solving the issue also depends on their working experience gained through work with individual clients. There was created a list of current institutions dealing with the issue on the base of results coming from the questionnaire that could be useful for social workers of Municipal Authorities in general practice. Both goals were achieved. The Hypothesis H1 was stated as following: The workers of social-legal system protecting children are dealing with Parental Alienation Syndrome. Our finding showed that the workers explain parents the possibilities of solving the issues legally, perform easy form of intermediation with both of parents, and interview the parent indoctrinating the child, and sometimes they interview the child as well. They also recommend parents to contact some professional institution. Hypothesis H1 was confirmed. Hypothesis H2 was stated as following: Parental Alienation Syndrome is being solved in professional consulting institutions. All social workers recommend the parents to look for a help of some professional institution and most of workers received positive feedback about solving the problem at the place. The hypothesis H2 was confirmed. The Bachelor Work was supposed to show if, and which way the workers of Municipal Authorities in the South Bohemia Region are involved in solving the issue of Parental Alienation Syndrome. The results are addressed to professional communities and to all persons concerned with this psychosocial and legal issue.
Specifics of the social work with families in divorce
SEDLÁKOVÁ, Barbora
A goal of this bachelor thesis with the topic ``Specifics of the social work with families in divorce{\crqq} is to compare a prior-to divorce, divorce, anti-divorce care in towns of České Budějovice and Prostějov and to search for state and private institutions dealing with problems of families in divorce in those localities. The thesis has been focused on the quality and availability of these services and on used methods of work with families in divorce proceedings. A partial goal of the thesis is also to ascertain views of addressed experts on an importance and quality of the family mediation in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis deals with the divorce issues. At the beginning the thesis focuses its attention on statistical data, defines the divorce and its causes, a course of divorce process, deals with an adjustment of relations for minor children after the divorce. A substantial part of the theory deals with a process of the social work with families in divorce. In that part there are described theories and methods of the social work with families in divorce, social services for families in divorce in the Czech Republic, there is described a role of the social and legal protection of children and a method of family mediation. The final part briefly introduces the issue of the parental alienation syndrome. A goal of the research part of the bachelor thesis was to compare an area of a prior-to-divorce, divorce and after-divorce care in regions of České Budějovice and Prostějov and to search for state and private institutions dealing with issues of the family in divorce in those regions. One of the goals was also to find out at what stage of the divorce these institutions attend to the families and which way they intervene in the situation. It was used a technique of half-standardized interview for the research. The research target group consisted of workers from institutions, whose focus of the professional interest is the family and children in the towns of České Budějovice and Prostějov. More detailed interviews were conducted in organizations, specialized in working with families in divorce. A result of the research shows that it is necessary to increase a number of workers attending to families in divorce, because numbers of divorced families are still growing. Due to an increase of the workforce, a quality of the offered service which is according to observed results rather good, could be improved. It was found out that the cooperation between state and private organizations works at a good level, individual institutions have information about activities of other workplaces and so they can refer clients to a professional help. Most organizations, where was the research conducted, have an aim to protect interests of the child. The most important thing for the staff of these organizations seems to be the least impair of the child´s development. They can see a roll of a mediator in divorce issue as a positive one, but they highlight the shortage of qualified mediators. To the topic of the parental alienation syndrome the workers say, that they meet it at their work. Recently manifestations of this syndrome have had more and more publicity, which fact workers do not evaluate very positively. As a result of this promotion there is increasing a number of cases, when parents feel a condemnation, even if it is not true in many cases. In practice the bachelor thesis can serve as an overview of services for families in divorce in České Budějovice and Prostějov. It can also establish priorities in the area of the divorce care and it can offer effective social measures in institutions dealing with family issues, family relationships, marital and family crises. The results can also become a basis for other studies and researches in that area.
Problems of contacts between a child and father after divorce (parental alienation syndrome)
VESELÁ, Kateřina
The subject of the bachelor{\crq}s thesis is the issue of the contact of the child with the father after the divorce (parental alienation syndrome). At present, the number of divorces has been increasing as practically every second marriage is divorced. In our society the trend persists that the children are being given in charge to mother in 90% after the divorce. For this reason the thesis concentrate on fathers. Almost one half of the children from divorced marriages is being incited against one of parent, mostly against the father. Approximately one third of these children is incited so much that they develop the parental alienation syndrome. The target of the thesis is to show the causes and the way of manipulation by parents to whom the child was entrusted into the exclusive care against the other parent in South Bohemia. Moreover to find out the possibilities of the defense and how the parents concerned by this issue are informed of these possibilities. In this thesis the method of the qualitative research was applied, a half-controlled talk with fathers whose children have the parental alienation syndrome. 5 case studies were elaborated based on these talks. Moreover the research was extended by the quantitative method of questionnaire research. The questionnaires were given to fathers visiting OSPOD and Crisis Centre in České Budějovice; these centers treat the problems associated with the contact to their children after the divorce. After processing all the source documents I found out that the most frequent motive of mothers obstructing the contact of father with the child was the revenge for wrongs in the marriage or for the divorce. If the mother wants to obstruct the contact to children, the most effective solution is to move with children. The most frequent way is the illness of the child. It happens that the children have a sore-throat or problems with belly every two weeks. Although fathers are well informed of the legal possibilities to treat these problems, it is difficult to prove mother{\crq}s fault. Treating the issue of the parental alienation syndrome consists in prevention. The parents should know what impacts their divorce conflicts could have on the children and they should try that the children are not witnesses of their conflicts. The employees meeting the after-divorce conflicts of parents because of children during their work should keep in mind the parental alienation syndrome and they should intervene if they see the warning symptoms. The removal of the developed parental alienation syndrome is very complicated and the relationship of the child to the parent alienated sooner is very concerned by this. The disturbed psyche of the child may have influence on his life and influence his later relationships.
